A Thought on Thanksgiving

Hi, folks. I hope everyone is having a great day today. And that you are able to be with your loved ones at a very special time of year. Now I have a sobering thought to share with you.
As you arise from the table where you've been privileged to enjoy life's bounty, ask yourself one question. Will this be the last time I'll ever be here with my family and friends? If the answer is an unequivocal yes, then Godspeed to you as you go off to the rest of your life.
If you find yourself unable to say with certainty that you will definitely be here next year, then say a little prayer for the blessed time you've just enjoyed with those others who value and love you. And, whatever else you do, do not leave the gathering without telling those you love that you love them. Family and friends are among the most valuable of our assets and we should never forget that. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Hold the presses!!!
Yikes, I got it backwards. If you can say you will definitely be back next year, then Godspeed.
If you can't, then say the prayer of thanks. I'm mortified that I didn't edit before posting.

I'm glad. I felt like such a dufus when I read it after posting. My grandkids are here today and I was a bit distracted. LOL
