Kick into Creative Play Time!

After a month long drive to cross NaNo's finish line it’s time to replenish those creative juices.  It’s time to set your mind to relax, read and watch movies.  Or whatever way that let’s your mind run free without any restrictions.  Spend some time in the great outdoors and push yourself away from the computer.  Yup!  It’s time to regenerate.  Give yourself some space to regroup and let your mind wander wherever it wants to go.  No, you’re not wasting time!  You’ll actually be increasing your productive time if you let yourself relax.  Even if it’s just for a few days you will reap the rewards of a surge of creative flow.  Kick into your play time and smile like the Kung  Fu Panda.
Here’s 29 ways to stay creative:

I’m spending the next few weeks to catching up on my reading list and movies I missed.  What’s your way of rejuvenating?
Till next time,
Elizabeth

When I finished nano I was a bit burned out.

LM,

Yup, you and your muse were going at it full speed. Congratulate yourself and refresh. Your muse will thank you.

I too, felt burned out. I want to get back to writing, but I know the break will reap rewards. So, I journal, read and watch movies.

BTW, kudos to you for finishing NaNo!

I didn't officially do NaNo, but I wrote a total of about 75,000 words during November, spread among three different projects. That's my usual rate... When I need to recharge, I just give myself permission to ignore my works-in-progress for a day or so until my brain wants to cooperate again.

Congrats on finishing NaNo!

I am so burned out from NaNo. I'm having days I don't even want to write...not like me at all. Usually I can't wait to get to my computer each day. Now I have to force myself. I think I'll take the advice in the video...get away and not force it. Maybe I'll try some free writing and let my WIP marinate a while.

Thanks for sharing!

Great reminder, Elizabeth. I think we all need that.
Hope you're feeling better.

Michelle,

You worked hard in November...take time to celebrate your win with your muse. She or he will reward you with oddles of inspiration. Congratulations to you.

Sandra,

Thanks for asking, I'm on my second round of antibotics and first round of steriods. Hopefully, after the steriods I will have arms like Linda Hamilton in Terminator 2.

Otherwise, sitting back and enjoying the lull.
