Greetings All!
What does everyone think of the new timeline on Facebook? I don’t mind it. I tried to upload my latest book cover but the pix was too small. Ah, well.
I am putting up my Jane Eyre and Vampires mashup on my website, a chapter a week. Here’s the link if you are interested: http://www.gaelicfairie.webs.com Right now chapters one and two are up! The reason I did it this was because I wrote it for fun for NaNoWriMo and was going to put it up on Kindle but because it’s in Public Domain (the Jane Eyre part) I couldn’t participate in the Kindle Select program which was my intention. I have another book I am thinking of doing that with instead. It’s my YA Dystopian with zombie-like creatures.
I am working hard on book two of the LORE OF FEI series. I am nearly done with it. LORE OF FEI is 84K and I was hoping to do at least that much with book two but so far it’s only 52K. The trouble is I want to do a third book to wrap it all up and so I am waiting to write more for the third book. But, on the other hand I could only do two books. Decisions, decisions!
Still working on getting an agent, I have a couple of partials out and a full so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Speaking of YA Dystopians (one of my books is a YA Dystopian), who saw The Hunger Games? I saw it on opening weekend and although there were parts they left out, I thought it was well-done. I love the actress who played Rue, so sweet. She made me cry. . .*sniffs*
I am now deep into LORE OF FEI final edits! This is the last edit before being published. I have to go through it line by line to check for punctuation, spelling, grammar, right word choice etc. It’s grueling but it has to be done if you want the best book out there! My release day is April 27, 2012. Assuming I get my last edits done in time! LOL. Ah, the joys of being a writer. Seriously though, I enjoy it. I know that I am this much closer to getting my book out there!
Hope everyone is enjoying the coming spring weather. I have the whole get-me-the-heck-outta-Dodge mindset right now. I want to go, go, go. Hard to do when you have a job, editing and no money! I can take virtual trips though.
Take Care, Until Next Time,
Kathleen

I'm resisting the timeline thing. So far Facebook doesn't seem to have noticed that I haven't changed over, and I'm hoping they won't!
I'm with you, Karenna. I find it confusing.
